MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — Mobile Police are investigating an early Sunday morning shooting that left two men injured at The Grounds in West Mobile. According to a spokesperson for the Mobile Police Department, officers were dispatched to reports of a shooting at approximately 12:15 a.m. Sunday at The Grounds, a popular event venue located in West Mobile. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered that two adult men had suffered gunshot wounds. Emergency responders provided assistance before both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities said the victims’ injuries were considered minor, and both men are expected to recover. Investigators have not yet released information regarding what led to the gunfire, whether any suspects have been identified, or if any arrests have been made. Police also have not disclosed whether the shooting stemmed from an altercation or another incident. The shooting prompted an immediate response from law enforcement as detectives began gathering evidence and interviewing potential witnesses in an effort to determine exactly what occurred. As of Sunday morning, the case remains under active investigation.
