MOBILE, Ala. (Buzz Report) — Mobile Police are investigating an armed robbery that was reported Tuesday afternoon at a gas station on Springhill Avenue.

According to authorities, officers responded to the Energize gas station, located in the 3300 block of Springhill Avenue, at approximately 12:00 p.m. on June 16, 2026, after receiving a complaint of a robbery.

When officers arrived at the scene, they met with the victim, who reported that an unknown male suspect approached and produced a firearm before demanding the victim’s belongings.

Police said the suspect was able to obtain items from the victim before fleeing the area. Details regarding what was taken, a description of the suspect, and the direction of travel have not been released by investigators.

No injuries were reported during the incident, according to the initial police report.

The Mobile Police Department has classified the case as an active investigation and is continuing efforts to identify and locate the individual responsible. Detectives are expected to review available surveillance footage from the business and surrounding area as part of the investigation.

Authorities have not announced any arrests, and no additional information has been made available at this time.
