Mobile, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A bold daytime robbery at a local wireless store has Mobile police actively searching for an armed suspect after a gunman reportedly stormed into a T-Mobile location and demanded money from employees Wednesday afternoon.

According to authorities, officers responded around 2:40 p.m. on May 20, 2026, to the T-Mobile in reference to an armed robbery.

When officers arrived, employees told investigators that an unknown Black male entered the business, displayed a handgun, and demanded currency from the store. Police said the suspect fled the scene on foot before officers arrived.

No injuries were reported during the incident, but the robbery has raised renewed concerns about armed crimes targeting retail businesses in broad daylight across the city.

Investigators have not released a description of the suspect beyond identifying him as a Black male, and authorities have not said how much money may have been taken from the business.

The case remains under active investigation, and police say no additional information will be released at this time.

Anyone with information related to the robbery is encouraged to contact the Mobile Police Department or submit anonymous tips to local law enforcement.
