MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A man has been arrested in connection to an unlawful breaking and entering a vehicle investigation in downtown Mobile. According to authorities, officers responded Thursday, May 14, 2026, at approximately 1:50 p.m. to the 600 block of Government Street after locating a suspect connected to a vehicle break-in that had been reported the previous day in the 400 block of North Broad Street. Police said officers arrived on scene and detained the suspect without incident. The suspect was identified as 42-year-old Cornelius Sashner. Authorities said Sashner was arrested and transported to Metro Jail following the investigation. No additional details regarding the original vehicle break-in incident have been released at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
