Man Arrested After Shooting During Altercation On Stuart Drive North

MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A late-night altercation in Mobile turned violent early Sunday morning after a man was shot and another taken into custody, according to police.

Authorities said officers responded to the 900 block of Stuart Drive North on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at approximately 12:00 a.m. in reference to an assault call.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a male victim suffering from gunshot-related injuries. Police said the injuries were considered non-life-threatening. The victim was treated at the scene before being transported to a local hospital for further medical care.

During the preliminary investigation, officers determined that the shooting stemmed from an altercation involving individuals known to one another. Investigators said a known male subject allegedly shot the victim during the dispute.

Police identified the suspect as 28-year-old Hunter Keys. He was arrested at the scene and transported to Metro Jail.

Authorities have not yet released additional details surrounding what led to the confrontation or whether further charges could be filed as the investigation continues.
