MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport)— Mobile Police are investigating an early Sunday morning armed robbery at a gas station near Providence Hospital after a woman allegedly entered the store with a handgun and demanded cash before fleeing the scene. The robbery happened around 3:45 a.m. at the Circle K located on Airport Boulevard. According to an official at the scene, the suspect walked into the convenience store armed with a gun, demanded money from employees, and then ran away before officers arrived. Multiple Mobile Police Department cruisers crowded the parking lot as investigators worked the scene for several hours before dawn. Officers were seen searching for evidence and speaking with witnesses as the investigation continued. At this time, no arrests have been announced, and police have not released a description of the suspect. Investigators are expected to review surveillance footage from the store and surrounding businesses as they attempt to identify the person responsible.
