DAUPHIN ISLAND, AL (BuzzReport) — At approximately 11:57 a.m. today, law enforcement and emergency personnel responded to a multi-vehicle crash on the Dauphin Island Bridge involving four vehicles in a rear-end collision.

Upon arrival, officers confirmed the severity of the incident and immediately implemented a full shutdown of both northbound and southbound lanes to allow emergency crews safe access to the scene and to assist those involved.

According to authorities, four individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment of injuries believed to be minor. No life-threatening injuries have been reported at this time.

The response included officers from the Dauphin Island Police Department, along with paramedics, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, and personnel from Alabama Marine Resources Division. Agencies worked jointly to manage traffic, secure the crash site, and coordinate the safe removal of the damaged vehicles from the bridge.

Traffic on the bridge remained restricted for several hours while investigators processed the scene and crews cleared the roadway. At approximately 2:35 p.m., all lanes were fully reopened and normal traffic flow resumed.

Officials thanked motorists for their patience during the extended closure and commended responding agencies for their coordinated and efficient handling of the incident.

The crash remains under review as part of standard investigative procedures.
