MOBILE, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A suspect is in custody following a reported vehicle break-in at a local motel early Thursday morning, according to authorities. Officers with the Mobile Police Department responded at approximately 6:24 a.m. to the Red Roof Inn located at 1 East Interstate 65 Service Road South after receiving a call regarding a breaking and entering in progress. Upon arrival, officers quickly located and detained a subject who matched the description provided by the caller. Police say the individual was observed illegally entering a vehicle on the property. A detective was called to the scene to assist with the investigation. Following preliminary findings, authorities identified the suspect as 39-year-old Kannady Rahn. Rahn was taken into custody without incident and transported to Mobile Metro Jail, where he is expected to face charges related to unlawful entry and vehicle break-in. Officials have not released further details regarding potential victims or whether additional charges may be forthcoming. The investigation remains ongoing.
