Jackson County Man Arrested on Aggravated Domestic Violence Charge Following Wade Incident

Jackson County, MS (BuzzReport) — A 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged with a serious domestic violence offense following an incident in the Wade community, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched on Saturday to the 21900 block of Cap Johnson Road in response to a reported domestic dispute. Authorities have not released the exact time of the call, but confirmed that the situation prompted an immediate law enforcement response due to the nature of the allegations.

Upon arrival, deputies began an on-scene investigation into the circumstances surrounding the dispute. According to the sheriff’s office, evidence gathered during the investigation led authorities to determine that a violent altercation had occurred involving a family member.

As a result of the investigation, deputies arrested Joshua Ryan Turner, 41. He has been charged with domestic violence by aggravated assault, specifically for the alleged strangulation of a relative. Under Mississippi law, strangulation is considered a severe form of assault due to the high risk of serious bodily injury or death, and such charges are typically classified as felonies.
