Douglas, Ga. (BuzzReport) — A 63-year-old minister in south Georgia has been arrested following allegations that he made inappropriate physical contact with a McDonald’s employee, according to the Douglas Police Department.

Keith Lamar Brinson was charged with simple battery after officers launched an investigation into the reported incident, which occurred last week at a local McDonald’s restaurant.

Police say a 20-year-old employee told officers she was on her lunch break when Brinson, identified as a customer, approached her from behind. The woman reported that Brinson made an unsolicited comment and engaged in unwanted physical contact, leaving her feeling unsafe. She subsequently left the workplace shortly after the encounter.

A witness at the scene corroborated parts of the account, telling investigators she observed Brinson lean over the employee and touch her on the lower back.

According to police, officers later made contact with Brinson when he returned to the restaurant. While he acknowledged speaking with the employee, he denied making any physical contact.

Authorities noted that surveillance footage was not available due to a malfunction in the restaurant’s camera system at the time of the incident. However, based on witness statements and the findings of the investigation, Brinson was taken into custody and charged.

The case remains under investigation.
