Man Arrested After Armed Home Invasion on Brown Road

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A 64-year-old man is in custody following an alleged armed home invasion Wednesday night in Mobile, according to police.

Officers responded to the 3600 block of Brown Road at approximately 8:57 p.m. on March 25, 2026, after receiving a report of a home invasion in progress. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a female resident and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Preliminary findings indicate that a male subject unlawfully entered the residence while armed with a handgun. Investigators determined the suspect was reportedly searching for a firearm he believed had been stolen from him earlier in the day by the victim.

Police identified the suspect as Arthur Pledger, 64. He was taken into custody at the scene without further incident and transported to Mobile Metro Jail.

Authorities have not released additional details regarding potential charges or whether any injuries were reported. The investigation remains ongoing.
