Child Struck by Vehicle Dies After Being Transported to Mobile Hospital

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A child has died after being struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon in Mobile, according to authorities.

Officers responded at approximately 2:40 p.m. on March 26, 2026, to a local hospital after receiving a report that a child had arrived by personal vehicle with serious injuries sustained in an earlier incident.

Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim, a female child, had been struck by a vehicle in the 2200 block of Clinton Street a short time before being transported to the hospital. Despite medical efforts, the child succumbed to her injuries.

Police say the driver involved in the incident has been cooperative with investigators.

Authorities have not released the age of the victim or additional identifying details at this time. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
