Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A Mobile man has been arrested months after an assault investigation stemming from a violent incident at a local apartment complex, authorities confirmed. According to investigators, Andrew Pope Jr., 35, was taken into custody on Monday, March 23, 2026, and transported to Metro Jail following developments in the case. The arrest is connected to an assault that occurred on October 21, 2025, at approximately 7:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Estates, located at 4031 Airport Boulevard. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered that a male suspect had struck another man in the head with a chain during the altercation. Emergency responders transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was treated for what were described as minor injuries. Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding what led to the assault or the circumstances surrounding the delay in the arrest.
