Alabama Man Arrested for Voyeurism, Child Porn Charges in Jackson County, MS

Jackson County, MS (BuzzReport) — A man from Alabama is facing multiple charges following a disturbing incident reported Sunday morning, March 22, 2026, at a Welcome Center along Interstate 10 in Jackson County.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the rest area after receiving a report of suspicious activity involving a male subject inside a women’s restroom. Authorities say the suspect, identified as Isaac Dalton Curtis, 27, of Oneonta, Alabama, was allegedly using a device to record a woman without her knowledge or consent.

The victim became aware of the situation and immediately alerted her husband, who intervened and detained Curtis at the scene until law enforcement arrived. Deputies took Curtis into custody without further incident.

Curtis was initially charged with voyeurism, a criminal offense involving the invasion of privacy through the non-consensual observation or recording of another individual. During the course of the investigation, authorities say additional evidence was discovered on Curtis’ cell phone. Investigators reported finding material classified as child pornography, leading to an additional charge of possession of child pornography.

Law enforcement officials have not released details regarding the extent of the material recovered but confirmed that the investigation remains active. Authorities are working to determine whether there may be additional victims or related offenses.

Curtis is currently being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center, where he is awaiting an initial appearance in County Court. Bond information and a court date have not yet been made public.
