Woman Arrested After Domestic Dispute Escalates Into Assault on Officer in Mobile

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A domestic disturbance in Mobile early Thursday morning escalated into multiple assaults, including an attack on a police officer, resulting in the arrest of a 25-year-old woman.

According to authorities, officers were dispatched at approximately 1:59 a.m. on March 19, 2026, to the 1100 block of Gorgas Street in reference to a domestic complaint. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who reported he had been involved in a verbal altercation with a woman he knew.

Police say the victim attempted to leave the situation; however, the suspect allegedly followed him to a second location. Once there, the dispute turned physical when the woman reportedly struck the victim. The victim then contacted law enforcement.

Investigators say that while the victim was waiting for officers to arrive, the situation escalated further when the suspect allegedly threw a foreign object into the victim’s vehicle, shattering the windshield.

When officers attempted to detain the suspect, she reportedly resisted and struck one officer in the head with her fist. Authorities confirmed that both the victim and the officer sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries during the incident.

The suspect was ultimately taken into custody without further incident. She has been identified as 25-year-old Dashia Rothchild, who was transported to Mobile Metro Jail.

Officials have not released additional details regarding the specific charges she may face. The incident remains under investigation.
