Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — Four juvenile males were detained early Saturday morning after officers located a stolen vehicle and attempted to stop the driver in Mobile.

According to the Mobile Police Department, officers observed a vehicle around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in the area of Halls Mill Road and McVay Drive that had been reported stolen a short time earlier.

Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop, leading to a brief pursuit. Authorities said the vehicle eventually came to a stop near the intersection of Holcombe Avenue and Government Street, where four juvenile male occupants exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot.

Officers were able to detain all four individuals. During the investigation, police confirmed the vehicle had been stolen from the 2500 block of North McVay Drive.

Three of the juveniles were arrested and transported to Strickland Youth Center, where they were charged with theft of property, attempting to elude, and possession of burglary tools.

The fourth juvenile was also transported to Strickland Youth Center and charged with theft of property and attempting to elude.

No additional details have been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
