Detectives say the burglaries targeted businesses in the area, though authorities have not released additional details about the specific establishments involved or what may have been taken. Investigators are seeking to speak with 27-year-old Eddie McCormick of Laurel, Mississippi, regarding the incidents. Police have identified McCormick as a person of interest as the investigation continues. Authorities are urging anyone with information about McCormick’s whereabouts or details related to the burglaries to contact the Hattiesburg Police Department.
