Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — Mobile police are investigating an assault that occurred Sunday afternoon and left a man injured.
According to authorities, officers responded at approximately 3:46 p.m. on March 1, 2026, to the area of Whitehall Drive near Travis Road following a report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers learned that a male victim had been walking along Whitehall Drive when a man driving a pickup truck stopped, exited the vehicle, and confronted him.
Investigators determined that an altercation took place and escalated when the suspect allegedly cut the victim with a pocketknife. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been announced, and the identity of the suspect has not been released. Police say the investigation remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information related to the incident is urged to contact law enforcement.
