Mobile, Ala. (BuzzReport) — The Mobile Police Department has identified 43-year-old Andre Moore as the man arrested following a barricade situation at a residence on Brill Road late Saturday morning. According to police, officers were dispatched at approximately 11:19 a.m. to the 1600 block of Brill Road in reference to a report of shots fired. Investigators said Moore had gone to a relative’s home, discharged a firearm once inside the residence, and then barricaded himself along with other family members. Officers secured the scene and began negotiations. Authorities said Moore was ultimately persuaded to exit the home peacefully and was taken into custody without further incident. He was transported to the Mobile County Metro Jail. Jail records indicate Moore faces 17 charges, including third-degree domestic violence, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, menacing, reckless endangerment, and being a person prohibited from possessing a firearm. Moore remains in custody pending a bond hearing. Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
