Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A 58-year-old man has been arrested after a stabbing early Wednesday morning left another man hospitalized, according to authorities.
The Mobile Police Department reported that officers responded at approximately 6:48 a.m. on February 25, 2026, to the 1000 block of Cherry Street in reference to a stabbing.
When officers arrived, they located a male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and is reported to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
During the course of the investigation, officers determined the incident originated in the 1000 block of Edwards Street. Police said the stabbing occurred after a dispute between the victim and a known male suspect escalated into a physical altercation.
Joseph Jordan, 58, was arrested in connection with the incident and transported to the Mobile County Metro Jail for processing.
Authorities have not released additional details regarding the nature of the dispute. The investigation remains ongoing.
