Foley, AL (BuzzReport) — A Foley man has been arrested and charged with a felony following an investigation into allegations of online sexual exploitation involving a minor.

On Wednesday, February 25, officers with the Foley Police Department, with assistance from the Gulf Shores Police Department, apprehended 23-year-old Marquise Jamell Scott of Foley on an outstanding warrant for Electronic Solicitation of a Child.

According to investigators, detectives determined that Scott allegedly used an electronic device to solicit a juvenile under the age of 16 for sexual acts. The investigation was conducted by the Foley Police Department and led to the issuance of the arrest warrant.

Scott was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Baldwin County Corrections, where he was booked.

Electronic Solicitation of a Child is classified as a Class B felony under Alabama law, carrying the potential for significant prison time if convicted. Authorities have not released additional details due to the ongoing nature of the case and the age of the alleged victim.
