Man Hospitalized After Bat Assault and Robbery on Quimby Drive

Mobile, Ala. (BuzzReport) — Mobile police are investigating a violent assault and robbery that left a man hospitalized Friday afternoon.

According to authorities, officers responded at approximately 12:56 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026, after a male victim arrived at a local hospital in a personal vehicle seeking treatment for injuries sustained during an assault.

Investigators determined that the victim was walking along Quimby Drive when he was approached by a known male suspect. Police say the suspect struck the victim with a bat before robbing him. The victim was able to transport himself to the hospital, where officers were notified.

The incident occurred in Mobile, and detectives are continuing to gather evidence and interview potential witnesses. No arrests have been announced, and the condition of the victim has not been released.
