Pensacola, FL (BuzzReport) — Pensacola International Airport is continuing its rapid growth, announcing two new nonstop routes that will give travelers even more convenient and affordable options this year.

Breeze Airways, the fast-growing leisure airline known for its low-cost nonstop service, will launch direct flights from Pensacola (PNS) to Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FLL), and San Antonio, Texas (SAT). The new routes mark another milestone in Breeze’s expanding presence at PNS.

“San Antonio and Fort Lauderdale are fantastic destinations for guests looking to explore the River Walk, visit the Alamo, or relax on the beach,” said David Neeleman, founder and CEO of Breeze Airways. “These routes are a great addition to our network in Pensacola, and we’re excited to kick off service this summer.”

Tickets for the Fort Lauderdale route go on sale January 28, with flights operating Thursdays and Sundays beginning May 7. Nonstop service to San Antonio will launch June 10, flying Wednesdays and Saturdays. One-way fares on both routes start as low as $49.

Airport leaders say the expansion reflects growing demand and strengthens Pensacola’s connectivity.

“We are delighted that Breeze continues its growth at Pensacola by adding new nonstop service to our fourth-largest market, Fort Lauderdale, and introducing an all-new destination in San Antonio,” said Matt Coughlin, executive director of Pensacola International Airport. “This service supports business, tourism, and military travel while giving Pensacola residents access to two excellent markets.”

The additions represent Breeze’s sixth and seventh nonstop destinations from PNS since launching service in June 2024, including three key intra-Florida routes.

Breeze Airways has built a reputation for connecting underserved cities with nonstop flights across the country. With a modern fleet of Airbus A220-300 aircraft and customer-friendly perks such as free family seating, fast onboard Wi-Fi, preferred seating options, and no change or cancellation fees, the airline continues to make flying both accessible and affordable.
