New Orleans, LA (BuzzReport) — The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating two persons of interest in connection with a homicide that occurred on January 16, 2026, in the 2300 block of Orleans Avenue.
According to NOPD, officers responded to the scene where a male victim was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Three additional individuals were also struck by gunfire and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their current conditions have not been released.
As the investigation continues, detectives have identified two unidentified men as persons of interest. Police emphasized that the individuals are not currently wanted on criminal charges; however, investigators believe they may possess information critical to the case and are seeking to interview them.
