MAGNOLIA, Miss. (BuzzReport) — The Pike County Sheriff’s Office rescued four horses after receiving multiple complaints regarding the animals’ living conditions, authorities confirmed. According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the complaints and conducted an investigation to assess the welfare of the horses. Following the investigation, officials determined that the animals needed to be removed from the property to ensure their safety and well-being. Local wranglers assisted deputies during the removal process, helping safely transport the horses from the site. The horses were taken to a rescue farm, where they are now receiving appropriate care. Authorities said the animals have access to green pasture, clean and sanitized living conditions, and veterinary services.
