Biloxi, MS (BuzzReport) — A tense standoff in Biloxi ended peacefully with the arrest of a local man now facing multiple felony charges, according to a press release from the Biloxi Police Department. On Thursday, January 22, 2026, at approximately 3:38 p.m., officers with the Biloxi Police Department responded to a reported domestic incident in the 300 block of Rodenberg Avenue. Upon arrival, officers identified Joshua Drake Ervin as the suspect in the case. Following an investigation, Ervin was taken into custody and charged with kidnapping and aggravated domestic assault. Authorities did not release additional details regarding the circumstances of the incident or the condition of the victim. Ervin later appeared before Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain, who set his bond at $500,000. He was subsequently transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center, where he remains in custody. The Biloxi Police Department stated that the investigation is ongoing and is asking for the public’s assistance.
