Escambia County FL (BuzzReport) — A major narcotics bust unfolded on January 15 when the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, assisted by the SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 2700 block of West Lakeview Avenue.

Authorities say the operation led to the seizure of a significant quantity of illegal drugs, highlighting the ongoing threat posed by large-scale drug trafficking in the region. During the search, investigators recovered approximately 713 grams of methamphetamine60.5 grams of fentanyl—most of which was found mixed with methamphetamine—and 181 grams of marijuana. Law enforcement officials emphasized that the presence of fentanyl, a substance linked to a sharp rise in overdose deaths nationwide, makes the seizure particularly alarming.

As a result of the investigation, Kamron Fountain was taken into custody. Fountain faces multiple felony charges, including trafficking in methamphetaminetrafficking in fentanylpossession of marijuana with intent to sell, manufacture, or deliver, and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office credited coordinated efforts between the Narcotics Unit and SWAT Team for the successful execution of the warrant, noting that such operations are critical to disrupting the distribution of dangerous drugs within local communities.

Officials say the investigation remains ongoing and reaffirmed their commitment to aggressively targeting drug trafficking organizations that threaten public safety.
