Suspect Apprehended Following Assault Call on Basil Drive

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A quick police response led to an arrest Sunday morning after officers were dispatched to a reported alarm activation in a Mobile neighborhood.

At approximately 10:10 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to the 1300 block of Basil Drive in reference to an alarm call. Upon arriving at the scene, officers gathered information and obtained a description of a suspect who had just fled the location.

Police quickly canvassed the surrounding area and located an individual matching the description a short distance away. The subject was detained without incident as officers continued their investigation.

Authorities later identified the suspect as Tywarren Jones, 29. He was taken into custody and transported to Metro Jail. Further details regarding the nature of the alarm and potential charges were not immediately released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
