Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A routine traffic stop turned into a chaotic scene on Tuesday afternoon when a man led police on a brief chase through the streets of Mobile. At around 2:30 p.m., officers from the Mobile Police Department tried to pull over 30-year-old Tylar Taylor in the 1200 block of Bernice Hudson Drive. Instead of stopping, Taylor sped away, ultimately crashing his vehicle into both a police unit and another car before the pursuit ended in the 1100 block of Kelley Street. Tylar Taylor During the pursuit, Taylor’s vehicle struck a marked MPD unit and another vehicle, raising concerns for public safety. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported as a result of the collisions. Upon apprehension, Taylor was charged with multiple offenses, including three counts of attempted assault, attempting to elude law enforcement, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, and reckless endangerment. Taylor was transported to Metro Jail, where he awaits arraignment. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident and have urged anyone with additional information to come forward.
