Marengo County, AL (BuzzReport)- A devastating head-on collision in Marengo County on Friday morning claimed the lives of two individuals, a woman and a teenager. Alabama State Troopers confirmed the tragic incident occurred at approximately 7:15 a.m. Lashandra S. Bell, 53, of Gainesville, was operating a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta when it collided directly with a 2006 Lexus ES330. The Lexus was driven by an 18-year-old juvenile from Mobile. Both Ms. Bell and the teenage driver were pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. Law enforcement officials are not releasing the name of the juvenile driver, adhering to standard protocol regarding minors. The fatal crash took place on U.S. 43 near the 111 mile marker, a location approximately five miles south of Linden within Marengo County. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is actively investigating the full circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
