HARRISON COUNTY, MS (BuzzReport)– Harrison County law enforcement is actively pursuing leads and demanding public assistance in identifying two men connected to the theft of a vehicle recovered shortly after the incident. The investigation by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) has intensified following a close encounter with the suspects who abandoned the stolen luxury sedan. The incident centers on the October 26, 2025, theft of a Kia K5 from a residential area in Gulfport. Sheriff’s investigators confirmed that two Black males are the focus of the ongoing manhunt related to the unauthorized taking of the vehicle. Deputies successfully tracked and recovered the stolen Kia, a key breakthrough in the case. However, the suspects narrowly evaded immediate apprehension. Upon realizing law enforcement presence, the duo abandoned the K5 and fled the immediate vicinity on foot, managing to escape into the area before backup could secure a perimeter. The HCSO considers the identification of these two individuals a priority to ensure a swift resolution to the felony case. To move the investigation forward, the Sheriff’s Office is directing all citizens with knowledge regarding the suspects’ identities to contact Crime Stoppers immediately. Details that lead to the identification and apprehension of the suspects may qualify for a financial reward.
