Gulfport, MS (BuzzReport)- A woman long sought by authorities across the Mississippi Gulf Coast is finally in custody. On Friday, September 5, 2025, officers with the Gulfport Police Department apprehended 44-year-old Jennifer Parfait, a name familiar to many after being featured for months on Crime Stoppersbulletins and wanted posters. Jennifer Parfait According to a press release from the department, Parfait was arrested on charges of Felony Fleeing and Eluding and Possession of Methamphetamines. But what began as a routine encounter quickly revealed a much broader picture. Officials say Parfait was also carrying methamphetamine at the time of her arrest and is wanted on multiple felony warrants spanning four counties: Bay St. Louis, Hancock, Pearl River, and Harrison. Police have not released details about what led to Friday’s operation, though sources confirm that Parfait attempted to evade officers before being taken into custody without serious incident. Residents familiar with her history say her arrest has been “a long time coming.” Crime Stoppers had repeatedly highlighted Parfait’s cases, urging the public to share any leads about her whereabouts. The Gulfport Police Department has confirmed that Parfait remains in custody while awaiting her first court appearance. She could face additional charges once authorities from neighboring jurisdictions process their outstanding warrants. As of now, officials say no further details will be released until the ongoing investigation is complete. Parfait bond is set at $100,000.
