Mobile, AL – (BuzzReport) – A routine request for identification escalated into a violent attempted robbery at a Mobile service station Tuesday afternoon, leading to the arrest of a 24-year-old woman. Mobile Police officers were dispatched to the Clark’s Service Station, located at 4063 Moffett Road, at approximately 4:33 p.m. following reports of a robbery in progress. Upon arrival, officers met with a store employee who recounted a harrowing encounter with an agitated customer. According to the victim, an unknown subject, later identified as Raquel Johnson, 24, had entered the store and selected several items. When the employee requested identification from Johnson for the purchase of a regulated item, the situation quickly turned confrontational. Johnson reportedly became upset, then brandished both a hammer and a box cutter, attempting to flee the premises with the merchandise. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported during the incident. Officers swiftly responded and apprehended Johnson at the scene. Raquel Johnson was subsequently taken into custody and transported to Metro Jail, where she faces charges of Robbery 1st Degree. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
