Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A downtown Mobile shooting incident that left two men hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries took a significant turn yesterday, August 11, 2025. Taurean Richardson, 22, was arrested and charged in connection with the shooting that occurred on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at approximately 2:30 a.m. in the area of St. Francis Street and N. Franklin Street.

According to investigators, Richardson fired shots during the incident, striking two vehicles, and also robbed an individual of his cell phone. However, authorities believe there were other individuals involved in the shooting, as evidenced by an exchange of gunfire that resulted in the victim’s injuries and damage to four other vehicles.

The Mobile Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident and is urging anyone with information to come forward. “Additional arrests are forthcoming,” authorities said, but no further details will be released at this time.

Richardson faces charges including assault, shooting into an occupied vehicle, shooting into an unoccupied vehicle, and reckless endangerment.

The investigation is ongoing, and the Mobile Police Department is working to piece together the events surrounding the shooting. Residents are encouraged to contact the department with any information that may aid in the investigation.¹
