Multiple Charges Filed After High-Speed Chase

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – A dramatic series of events unfolded on Monday, August 5, 2025, resulting in the arrest of an individual on multiple charges. At approximately 7:24 p.m., Mobile police officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the driver refused to comply and fled the scene at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle subsequently wrecked in the area of Bay Bridge Road, and the driver fled on foot. Although officers were unable to apprehend the individual at that time, a subsequent investigation led to further developments.

A report of a carjacking matching the description of the wrecked vehicle was made, and officers responded to the location. Upon investigation, it was determined that the same individual who had fled the wrecked vehicle was the alleged victim in the carjacking report.

Jakameron Stanley, 21, was taken into custody and transported to Metro Jail. Stanley faces charges including Attempt to Elude (felony), Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Marijuana 2nd, False Reporting to Law Enforcement Officer, and Reckless Driving.
