Harvest, AL (BuzzReport) – A 27-year-old correctional security guard, Shawnia Williams, was arrested on July 23 after a routine checkpoint at the Limestone Correctional Facility in Harvest, Alabama, uncovered drugs in her vehicle. The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) Law Enforcement Service Division agents, assisted by K-9 handlers, were conducting checks on incoming vehicles when two canines detected possible contraband in Williams’ sedan. Key Findings: Drugs Seized: Approximately 1.5 grams of marijuana and a digital scale were found in Williams’ vehicle. Charges: Williams faces charges of second-degree marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. Investigation: The ADOC investigation is ongoing, and further charges may be filed.
