Giles County, TN (BuzzReport) – Auburn Police Department has announced the arrest of Aaron Dontay Williams in connection to a double murder and kidnapping investigation. Williams was taken into custody without incident around 7:15 a.m. in Giles County, Tennessee, by agents with the U.S. Marshals Service, assisted by the FBI, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Recovery of 4-Year-Old Son

Williams’ 4-year-old son, Jibreel Harun, was with him at the time of the arrest and was found unharmed. Auburn police confirm that officials are working to reunite the boy with his family. An Amber Alert that had been issued for the child was canceled following his safe recovery.

Extradition and Charges

Williams is currently being held at the Giles County Jail, awaiting extradition back to Alabama to face charges. The Auburn Police Department has thanked multiple agencies for their assistance in the case, including local and state law enforcement entities.
