GULFPORT, MS (BuzzReport) – Gulfport Police have issued an arrest warrant for 24-year-old Johnathon David Lamar Jordan, wanted on one count of Simple Robbery following a disruptive incident last week that included assault and property destruction. Authorities believe Jordan may currently be in the Mobile, Alabama area. The charges stem from an attempted robbery reported on May 23, 2025, at approximately 11:14 a.m., in the 11500 block of Lorraine Road. Officers with the Gulfport Police Department responded quickly to the scene. Through the course of their investigation, detectives determined that Jordan, who had previously applied for a job at the business a few weeks earlier but never reported for work, arrived at the store around 11:10 a.m. that day. He immediately began demanding money, becoming verbally aggressive and attempting to bypass the counter. Employees swiftly confronted Jordan, ordering him to stop. In response, Jordan assaulted one of the workers, threw merchandise across the store, and then exited the business, slamming the door behind him. Moments later, he returned to the scene, violently kicking the glass door and shattering it before fleeing the area. Jordan was last seen fleeing in a black four-door Toyota sedan, notably lacking a visible license plate. Despite contacting the Gulfport Police Department to claim he is “not on the run,” Jordan has yet to surrender himself to authorities. Police are actively pursuing leads and believe he may be seeking refuge in the Mobile, Alabama area. The Gulfport Police Department urges anyone with information regarding Johnathon David Lamar Jordan’s whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers immediately. Johnathon David Lamar Jordan is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
