Mobile Man Taken into Custody After Domestic Incident and Brief Pursuit

Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – Yesterday afternoon, a tense situation unfolded in the 1600 block of Martin Drive, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement. At approximately 12:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the scene in reference to a domestic complaint.

Upon arrival, officers found that the individual involved had departed the premises. However, when the subject returned to the victim’s residence, officers were able to re-establish visual contact. A short vehicle pursuit ensued, which ultimately ended with the subject abandoning his vehicle and fleeing on foot.

Thanks to the diligent efforts of responding officers, the individual was apprehended without further incident. Marvin Holifield, 49, was taken into custody and subsequently transported to Metro Jail. Holifield faces charges of Attempt to Elude (felony), Domestic Violence 2nd, and Criminal Mischief 2nd.

This is an ongoing investigation. Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
