A high-speed pursuit came to an end on West Lee Street in Chickasaw on Monday, June 30, 2025, after the fleeing vehicle crashed into an SUV. The incident occurred after officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on St. Stephens Road near Lacey Street at approximately 9:16 p.m., but the driver refused to stop. The driver, identified as 43-year-old Kendrick Randolph, was taken into custody and charged with multiple offenses, including: Attempt to Elude: Randolph failed to stop his vehicle despite officers’ attempts to initiate a traffic stop. Reckless Endangerment: Two occupants of the SUV were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries due to Randolph’s reckless driving. Possession of Marijuana: Randolph was found to be in possession of marijuana. Trafficking Fentanyl: Randolph was charged with trafficking fentanyl, a serious offense that carries significant penalties under Alabama law. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: Randolph was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, which includes items used to manufacture, prepare, or consume controlled substances. Possession of a Controlled Substance: Randolph faced additional charges related to possession of a controlled substance. Randolph was arrested and transported to Metro Jail. The Mobile Police Department is investigating the incident.
