The incident occurred at approximately 7:40 p.m. on Highway 612, prompting an immediate response from authorities. Preliminary investigations reveal that a 2018 Nissan Rogue, occupied by two individuals, was traveling eastbound on Highway 612 when it collided with a 2008 Cadillac STS traveling southbound on Walt Tanner Road. The precise circumstances leading to the collision remain under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol. Tragically, Memori Maxwell, 44, of Chunchula, Alabama, a passenger in the Cadillac STS, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her loss underscores the devastating consequences of traffic accidents. Both drivers involved in the crash, along with the passenger of the Nissan Rogue, sustained injuries and were promptly transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
