Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) – Theodore High School alumnus and former NFL linebacker C.J. Mosley has announced his retirement from professional football after 10 seasons. The 33-year-old Mosley shared the news on his Instagram account, reflecting on his journey and legacy in the sport.

Mosley’s impressive career statistics include 1,083 tackles, 12 sacks, 55 tackles for loss, 53 passes defended, 10 forced fumbles, and 12 interceptions in 133 career games. He played for the Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets, earning numerous accolades along the way.

Mosley’s retirement comes after a season marred by injuries, including a herniated disc in his neck, which limited him to four games in 2024. The Jets released him in March, and he officially retired on his 33rd birthday.¹ ²
