Mobile, AL (BuzzReport)- A judge has denied a motion to reduce the bond for Mathew Sanders, who is accused of being involved in a fatal shooting at a west Mobile bar. Sanders, who is being held on a $250,000 bond, appeared in court to request a bond reduction. His attorney argued that the bond amount is excessive and unconstitutional. However, prosecutors presented new video evidence that allegedly shows Sanders waving a gun and using racial slurs moments after the shooting. The video, which was posted to Snapchat, was used to support the state’s case against reducing Sanders’ bond. Judge Johanna Bucci denied the motion, citing the use of a firearm in the alleged incident. Sanders remains in jail pending further proceedings. The case is ongoing. The Buzz Report will bring you more details as they become available.
