MOBILE, AL – A woman was arrested after allegedly striking a man with her vehicle at the Mobile Extended Stay on Matzenger Drive, according to police.

Authorities responded to the motel on Tuesday, April 22 at 10:38 pm and found that a man had been struck by a vehicle and transported to the hospital with possible life-threatening injuries.

Investigators reported that Mary Hardy, 66, was leaving the motel and the victim attempted to assist her by securing her seatbelt. Hardy then pushed the victim out of the vehicle and closed the door on his arm, according to police.

Officials stated that Hardy proceeded to drive away with the victim attached to the vehicle, ultimately striking him. Hardy was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with first-degree domestic violence, according to jail records.
