Mobile, Ala. (BuzzReport) — A Mobile man has been arrested in connection with an early morning burglary at a Tillmans Corner hotel, following a rapid investigation by local law enforcement. According to authorities, officers were dispatched at approximately 3:06 a.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2026, to the Quality Inn located at 5560 Tillmans Corner Parkway after receiving a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers determined that an unidentified male suspect had unlawfully entered a guest room and stolen property before fleeing the scene. Investigators immediately began working to identify the individual responsible, reviewing evidence and following leads in the hours and days that followed. The investigation led officers to identify the suspect as 38-year-old Shane Singleton. On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at approximately 11:36 a.m., officers located Singleton in the 5400 block of Highway 90 and took him into custody without incident. Singleton was transported to Metro Jail, where he faces charges related to the burglary. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the stolen property or whether it has been recovered. Law enforcement officials say the quick identification and arrest of the suspect highlight the effectiveness of coordinated investigative efforts in responding to crimes impacting local businesses and visitors.
