Mobile, AL (BuzzReport) — A Washington County man has been sentenced to life in prison plus an additional 30 years for the 2023 robbery and killing of a Semmes man, according to the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors announced that Jeffery Holley received the sentence following his conviction for first-degree robbery and the murder of Alan “Bama” Williams. A jury found Holley guilty in January 2026 after hearing evidence related to the deadly incident.

Authorities said the crime occurred on February 15, 2023, near Kushla Oaks Drive East in the Semmes community. Investigators determined that Holley robbed Williams of his firearm before shooting him in the head. Williams was transported for medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries several days later.

The case was prosecuted by the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office, which described the sentence as a measure of justice for the victim and his family. The life sentence reflects the murder conviction, while the additional 30-year term stems from the first-degree robbery charge.

Officials have not released additional details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting, but emphasized that the violent nature of the crime and the use of a firearm were central factors in the prosecution.

The sentencing brings closure to a case that has been pending for more than three years, following a thorough investigation and subsequent trial.
