Pensacola, FL (BuzzReport) — An 18-year-old Pensacola man is in custody following a violent early morning incident that left authorities investigating multiple felony charges, including three counts of attempted homicide, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to reports of gunfire during the early morning hours of March 18 in the Lincoln Park area, where a disturbance escalated into violence involving multiple victims.
According to officials, a 25-year-old woman was pistol-whipped during the altercation, suffering injuries consistent with aggravated battery. Authorities say the woman, along with two other female victims, attempted to flee the scene in a vehicle when the situation intensified.
Investigators report that as the victims were leaving, gunfire erupted, and the suspect allegedly fired multiple shots at the vehicle. Despite the severity of the incident, no injuries were reported as a result of the gunfire.
Deputies later located the suspect, identified as Tamarcus Brown, at a Circle K convenience store on Kenmore Road. During the arrest, authorities recovered ammunition from the suspect’s vehicle. The firearm believed to have been used in the incident was discovered a short time later near Marcus Point Boulevard.
Brown now faces a series of serious charges, including:
- Three counts of attempted homicide
- Aggravated battery
- Use of a firearm during the commission of a felony
- Discharging a firearm in public or on residential property
- Shooting into an occupied vehicle
He was taken into custody without further incident.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding a possible motive.
Officials are urging anyone with information related to the incident to contact law enforcement as the investigation remains ongoing.
